Mohawks take game 3 4-1 to avoid elimination in the quarter finals! Mitchell skated to 1-0, and 2-0 period leads. Mitchell scored 2 powerplay goals, and the empty netter was short handed. Goals were scored by Ryan O'Donnell, Mark Larson and 2 by Jayden Plett. Cale Mogg made 46 saves for the win.
Game 4 goes tonight back in Mitchell. They will need to play another solid 60 minutes to give themselves a chance to win. Lorette will come out flying and the Mohawks will need to match that. No Jets game tonight, so come watch some great local Junior Hockey in Mitchell!

Mitchell game out flat Tuesday night, giving up a goal just 13 seconds into period one, and surrendering 3 in the first 3 minutes. after 1 it was 5-0 Lorette. Mitchell played better in the 2nd and 3rd, outscoring Lorette 2-1 in those periods. Mitchell is on the brink of elimination on Friday night in Lorette. Mitchell will need a full 60 minutes from everyone to give themselves a chance to force game 4. Note, the game start time is 7:30pm.

The Mohawks played well in game 1 last in Lorette. Trailing 1-0 after 1, and 2-1 after the 2nd. Mitchell tied in in the 3rd, but couldn't muster another goal and ended up losing 4-2, the 4th goal was an empty netter. Cale Mogg made 29 saves in the loss.
Game 2 goes Tuesday Feb 21st in Mitchell. Mitchell will look to tie the series and make it a best of 3 from there. Mitchell should have Troy and Tyler Funk back in the line up, and Mark Larson will be a game time decision. Stephen Funk will still be out with an upper body injury.

The Mohawks will face off against the Lorette Comets in one of the quarter finals. Mitchell lost all 3 games against them this year, but that was earlier in the year, and have played much better since then. Mitchell will look to keep the winning momentum going against a very strong Lorette team.

Mitchell beat La Broquerie 12-3 last night to win the series in 2. Mack Penner lead the way with 3 goals, Tim Thiessen and Ryan O'Donnell each had 2 goals, Evan Vogt, Riley Chabluk, Tyler Funk, Cody Penner and Paul Marsch each added singles. Cale Mogg made 46 saves for the win.

Mitchell took game 1 by a score of 10-4 in La Broquerie tonight. Tim Thiessen, Troy Funk, and Cody Penner each had 2 goals. Jayden Plett, Riley Chabluk, Evan Vogt and Troy Blad 'AP' had singles. Nathan Heide made 25 saves for the win.
Game 2 goes Tuesday night in Mitchell.

Tonight the 2nd season starts. Game 1 of a best of 3. Mohawks have home ice advantage, but will start on the road. Mitchell beat La Broquerie all 3 times this year and look to build off of that in the playoffs. Game 2 goes tomorrow night Feb 14 in Mitchell.

The Mohawks beat Niverville 4-2 Friday night in Niverville, and lost 8-0 in Grunthal Saturday night. Robert Warkentin and Cody Penner each had 1, and Tim Thiessen had 2. Cale Mogg made 28 saves for the win.
Mitchell didn't play well in Grunthal and lost 8-0. Mitchell only managed 13 shots and gave up 41. Cale Mogg made 34 saves in the loss.

The first round of playoffs vs La Broquerie have been finalized. Mitchell will start on the road on Monday Feb 13th in LaB, then play game 2 at home on Tuesday Feb 14th (bring your spouse to the game to celebrate Valentines day) and game 3 if neccassary will be played at home on Thursday Feb 16th. All games are at 8pm. We hope to see there!

The Mohawks end there regular season with 2 road games, Friday Feb 10th in Niverville and Saturday Feb 11th in Grunthal. With the win last night and St Pierre's loss, the Mohawks have secured 7th place. The Mohawks will face La Broquerie and St Pierre and Niverville will face each other in a mini playoff series to see who will end up 7th and 8th for the regular playoffs. We will post the playoff games later this week.
